Happy Mid Autum Festival guys and girls!

Follow up to Saturday's meeting, regarding handling out leaflets around Chinatown, you may also bring some small leaflets while you visit to the following event and pass them out.

SUNDAY 8 OCTOBER, CHINESE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL at the VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM (FREE)

The Event:  There will be a lantern parade by Chinese schools and communities along Exhibition Road, arriving at the Cromwell Road 
entrance (the main entrance) of the V&A at about 1.30pm.  Then there will be a choice of activities.  In the John Madejski garden, from 2pm to 2.30pm, there will be Chinese folk dance and bamboo dance demonstrations and performances (with audience participation), and from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, Spectrum Chinese Radio will provide entertainment, including Chinese games and competitions, noodle eating, mooncake eating, lantern making, yoyo playing and DJs singing and dancing.  This will be followed, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, by Chinese choir and traditional dance performances, and between 4.30pm and 5pm there will be a variety of Martial Arts demonstrations.  For those wishing to arrive earlier, there will be a lantern making workshop from 11.30am to 12.30pm, and music performances from noon to 12.30pm.  Additionally, there will be workshops all day in the garden featuring Chinese chess and bead craft.  Upstairs in the Lecture Theatre, there will be traditional and popular Chinese songs, performed by various community groups from 11am to 12.45pm and from 1.45pm to 4pm.
