[Volunteers] Let's wrap up the preparatory work - 6 DAYS to go!

Dear all,

 

Like what Seung Fei said, we have to wrap up the preparatory work we are
currently working on (chasing up replies etc) and not initiate any new
work.  We are running out of time and resources. 

 

4 Oct is a big deadline in terms of preparatory work on the logistic
spreadsheet. 

 

Can Vincent please check the total order statistics today?  Have we
confirmed the full capacity of Friends House.  My instinct tells me that
if the total order for the 2 talks is less than 300 per talk we SHOULD
not hire the full 1100 capacity.  Any agreement on this?

 

On VIP invitation which I was hoping to re-work on, I have failed due to
time constraints and having to look after my son.  He is fine thank you
for all the concerns and prayers, just high temperature and discomfort.
I will still need the VIP tickets for the two talks to be printed out.
I will see what I can do.

 

We should now focus on the actual event flow (apart from continuous
ticketing and publicity, media) and make sure you know what equipments
(flowers, pen & papers, table cloths, books etc) you need, how you
gather them and move to the three venues (Waterloo, restaurant, Friends
House).  Go through the process in our mind and we should not be wrong
by miles.

 

I will still be on and off the project...
