[Volunteers] VIPs - IMPORTANT

Dear all,

 

I am starting to work on the list of local VIPs invited to the dinner
and also the talks.  This is the area I have failed utterly and totally
so please accept my apology.

 

There are two tables (max 24 people) on stage for the welcoming dinner.
I have allocated a max of 10 for local VIPs and another 4 will be for
BEF founder Mr and Mrs Wong, director of BEF, Upasaka Shing Kei Lee and
his wife.  1 will be for our MC, so 9 will be for Ven Master Chin Kung
and his VIP delegates.  I have already invited some guests of honours
amongst leaders of Chinese communities through some good contacts.  It
will be a great opportunity for them to plan the Dharma seeds and raise
awareness so not all will be fee paying.  

 

I envisage there will still be another 3 or 4 spaces left on stage.  I
would love also to include leaders of Buddhist communities, probably lay
leaders as monastic leaders from the Theravadan tradition are less
inclined to joint the dinner.  I suggest ULUBUDA/ICBS to think about
inviting your spiritual guides/mentors from various organisations to the
welcoming dinner.  It is as much your official event as every
committee's so please consider taking this opportunity to express your
gratitude and to strengthen our own Buddhist community.

 

For the two evening talks I have about 30-40 VIP tickets at the front
which are up for grab.  Any names spring to mind?
