Dear all,

 

1. PR - Katherine Lam, Yasmin Chua, Margaret Yap and Lei Yan to cover
English and Chinese media

Work: Press release, contact press, radio and TV.  Working on a press
conference on the 12 Oct

 

2. Posters and publicity - Seung Fei Kong, Alastair Gornall, ULUBUDA,
ICBS

Work and action: 

1) Print and distribute posters, registration form.  

2) Another round of emails to remind 7 days before the events.

 

3. Ticketing - Vincent Lai and Margaret Yap

Work: 

1) Monitor and report ticketing status.  

2) Email reminder to those register for Dinner but yet to receive
cheque.

 

4. Invitation - BEF UK and ULUBUDA

Work: 

1) Letters to schools and Buddhist organisations in London by BEF UK -
COMPLETED

2) Email (if email addresses exist) and letters (cost to be covered by
joint committee) to other Buddhist organisations. TO BE COMPLETED by 27
September.

 

5. Transportation - KC Tang, Yiren

Work:  Liaise with Australia/Hong Kong to get Coaches (to/fro hotel,
Waterloo and airport, Cambridge) sorted out.  

 

6. Preparations and decorations at Friends House - Anne Fung, Margaret
Yap

Work: 

1) Outside - Banner, Buddhist flags

2) Foyer - Reception, table arrangements

3) Stage - Speakers' table, flower adornment, Speakers drink and towels
and backdrop

 

7. Food for volunteers - Tian Hau Low

Work: Dinners (50 packs dinner boxes) and mineral waters for volunteers
on 12 and 13 Oct.  Ready and delivered to outside Friends House by
5.00pm and to be consumed in the park area outside Euston Station.

 

8. Visit to SOAS - KC Tang and Alastair 

Work: Liaise with SOAS to arrange for panel of discussion and dinner

 

9. Visit to Cambridge - KC Tang 

Work: Liaise with Cambridge University to arrange for visit to Cambridge
(small group) and tour in Cambridge (the rest of the group)
